My Approach to Psychotherapy

Investing in yourself and your dreams is one of the important decisions you will ever make. I view psychotherapy as an empowering means to achieve your goals. Together, we collaboratively determine those goals and create a personalized therapeutic experience for you. We will work on building and maintaining motivation to follow through with your goals, to maximize gains and maintain them. I will help you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and how to monitor them. We'll design exercises to practice the techniques learned in the office to real world situations. These in-session and between-session opportunities will enable you to make a meaningful difference to change the way you think, act, and feel.

In order to help you achieve your goals, I empower you through learning Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. CBT is a psychotherapy that teaches to cope with stressful situations and and change their thoughts and behaviors that are related to painful emotions.
You will gain skills that enable you to deal with life's frustrations, as well as reduce self-defeating behaviors and thoughts.

In many clinical research studies.CBT has been shown to be effective  for anxiety and depression.
